Description:  Eastern Ontario will be running two junior women’s teams this year as part of our 2010 program, a U17 and a U18 side.  The elite junior women’s season runs from the mid June to the end of August.  Practices are once a week, on Sundays or Wednesdays.  The representative teams will have a minimum of three fixtures each, in July and August.  At least one these fixtures will be an out of town tournament.

Responsibilities:  Assistant coaches will be responsible for assisting the head coach in planning and running practices.  They will be responsible for assisting the head coach to make selections for fixtures.  On game days, assistant coaches are expected to help in running warm-ups, make substitution and provide coaching to players.  Assistant coaches may also be expected to take over responsibility for a side on game days when both the U17 and U18 sides play fixtures on the same day.  Coaches are expected to be able to travel for at least one out of town fixture.

Experience: 2-3 years coaching experience is preferred.

Benefits:  This is a great opportunity for junior coached looking to gain experience and work with a group of dedicated talented juniors and coaches.

Our Organization:  The Eastern Ontario Rugby Union (EORU) is a Branch of Rugby Ontario.  The EORU is the administrative body for Rugby from Napanee and Kingston in the west to Cornwall and the Quebec border in the east to Ottawa and Pembroke in the north.  The Junior Women’s Representative Program is dedicated to provide a higher level of competition for junior women playing at the club and High School level within the EORU’s jurisdiction.
