Referee Courses: Kingston and Ottawa

EORRS will be conducting two IRB 1 Referee Courses in Kingston and Ottawa respectively during the month of March. The IRB 1 is the basic pre-requisite course to referee high school or club rugby.

Kingston
Sunday, March 7 from 7:45 am – 5:00 pm @ Athletics Complex of the Royal Military College http://www.rmc.ca/

Ottawa 
Saturday, March 20 from 7:45 am – 5:00 pm @ Ashbury College http://www.ashbury.ca/

The course fee is $100. Full-time students with valid student identification receive a $50 discount. All course material including law book, whistle and red/yellow card set will be provided. Participants are responsible to bring their own material for note-taking and appropriate attire for practical sessions in the gym.

Pre-registration is mandatory.  Priority will be given to people who intend to actively referee. All participants are expected to be familiar with the basic Laws of Rugby, which are available on the IRB website http://www.irb.com/.

Please note that referee courses have a limited certification period. The validity period for courses taken prior to 2007 has expired.
