Quebec Caribou, coming off a tie against the Niagara Thunder and two close losses in France came on the pitch at Twin Elm Rugby Park determined to post a win against the Ottawa Harlequins. 

 

A late tackle by Chris Miller lead to a penalty goal by Yoan Marlot.  Quebec 3 – Ottawa Nil.

 

Relentless forward pressure by the Quebec pack lead to a pushover try by Andy Tolson.  Convert by Yoan Marlot.  Score Quebec 10 – Ottawa Nil.  Another penalty goal by Yoan Merlot brought the score to 13 - Nil.

 

Ottawa came back with a try off a Quebec penalty scored by Brian Kelly-Mor.  Convert missed.  Score Quebec 13 – Ottawa 5.

 

Half time.

 

The second half opened with strong forward pressure from Quebec leading to another pushover try scored this time by Nick Garcia.  Converted by Yoan Marlot.  Score Quebec 20 – Ottawa 5.  Stephan Chapeau scored again for Quebec.  The convert attempt hit the post.  Score Quebec 25 – Ottawa 5.

 

Ottawa came back with a try score by Darryl Post, converted by Chris Miller.  Score Quebec 25 – Ottawa 12.

 

Quebec fly half Yoan Marlot dummied and scored for the final Quebec try of the game.  Score Quebec 30 – Ottawa 12.

 

Matthew McLeod score Ottawa’s final try, converted with a drop goal by Sean Keenan.  Final score Quebec 30 – Ottawa 19.
